We all love spinning for its heart-pumping, calorie-torching, booty-burning benefits, but it turns out that 6YCLE is more than just a physical body workout – it’s an incredible exercise for your brain, too! 😱
You know that indescribable “high” you feel when you’re perfectly pushin’ and tappin’ to the beat of your favorite song? (Yeah, we love that too) That “high” is actually an activation of your body’s endocannabinoid system, which is what affects our emotions, giving us a natural boost of euphoria and burst of overall mental happiness. 😌
That being said, it’s not surprising that many people take up spinning not only as a way to get in shape, but to take advantage of its mental and emotional health benefits as well!
Spinning enhances your brain the same way it enhances your muscles. When we spin at 6YCLE, you know we get our blood PUMPING… 💪 & the more blood that flows through our muscles, the more oxygen and nutrients our muscles receive as well.
The same process happens in our brains!
When we spin, that constant blood flow allows our brains to absorb more nutrients, while increasing the production of proteins that are used to create new brain cells. By spinning regularly (at 6YCLE 😉), we actually double (sometimes triple!) the number of new cells that are produced in our brains. Luckily for us 6ixers, that ALSO increases our brain’s neurotransmitter activity, allowing us to not only exercise more effectively, but think and communicate more effectively as well!
The benefits of spinning even go as far as improving one’s self-perception and sense of self-worth, resulting in higher self-esteem (more booty mirror selfies, please! 💁). Spinning improves our mood, reduces anxiety, and allows us to handle stress and day-to-day struggles more effectively.
